2020 Cycling Scotland Conference

05 November 2020

Starts: 10:00
Ends: 12:30

An interactive conference celebrating cycling and active travel in Scotland and beyond. The conference will be a shorter, webinar-style session and free to attend.

Thursday 5 November from 10am - 12.30pm

Theme: creating a safer environment for cycling and a greener future

In light of the ongoing situation and following feedback from previous delegates, we have changed our annual conference to a shorter, online event.

The events of 2020 have shown us how, more than ever, cycling and sustainable travel are vital to the health of our people and our planet. The theme for this year, creating a safer environment for cycling and a greener future, will explore how we can make cycling in Scotland easier and safer for all.

Suitable for anyone with an interest in active travel, the event will bring together active travel professionals, campaigners, volunteers and politicians, and provides an opportunity to learn from our panel of expert speakers:

  • Michael Matheson MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure and Connectivity
  • Detective Chief Superintendent Andy Cox from Lincolnshire Police
  • Jyoti Pande Lavakare from Care for Air India.

The event will be chaired by Sara Thiam, Chief Executive of the Scottish Council for Development and Industry.
